About this study
The purpose of this study is to find markers for the development of a test that will be used to define the risk of getting lung cancer in heavy smokers or to determine whether a lung nodule is cancer.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria
- Lung cancer patients
- Each patient will have matched cancer and adjacent normal lung tissues
- Tissues may be fresh/frozen or paraffin-embedded
- 45-79 years old
- Female or male
- Lung nodule patients
- The diameter of the nodule should be 05-3.0 cm
- 45-79 years old
- Female or male
- Smokers
- Current or former smokers with a smoking history ≥20 packyears
- 45-79 years old
- Female or male
Exclusion Criteria
- Lung cancer patients
- Pre-surgical chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Lung nodule patients
- With a pathologically confirmed lung cancer at enrollment
- Previous lung cancer history
- Smokers
- With lung cancer or nodule at enrollment
- Previous lung cancer history
