A Study of the Accuracy of Treadmill Balance Tests on Young Adults

About this study

The purpose of this study is to check the accuracy with which two treadmills move or can purposely throw off the balance of someone standing on them.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Healthy
  • Male and female
  • Adults age 18 to 45 years

 

Exclusion Criteria

  • Must not have chronic or current pain in their shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles, feet, neck, or back
  • Medical conditions or previous injuries/trauma/surgeries that negatively affect the participant’s balance, mobility, or strength
  • Conditions that preclude safe participation in the protocol at the investigator or study staff’s discretion
  • Regularly use assistive devices such as a cane or walker
  • Must not knowingly be pregnant.
