A Study of the Accuracy of 7 Tesla MRI for Future Use in Deep Brain Stimulation Surgical Targeting

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare 7 tesla MRI data and 3D image of model deep brain stimulation target areas to the post-surgical image of actual placement at time of deep brain stimulation surgery, using standard of care 1.5 tesla MRI.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

  • Parkinsons Disease patients who have undergone 7 tesla MRI at the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research and Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at Mayo Clinic
