About this study
The purpose of this study is to clinically test the use of a questionnaire to determine how well it detects differences in knowledge about prostate cancer among newly diagnosed individuals with the disease.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria
- Inclusion criteria for this study reflect those of the prospective NIH clinical trial
- Newly diagnosed prostate cancer
- PSA < 50 ng/mL
- Gleason score 6-10
- Age ≥ 18 years
- Must be able to read and comprehend English
Exclusion Criteria
- Exclusion criteria for this study reflect those of the prospective NIH clinical trial
- Regional lymph nodes or distant metastatic disease
- History of non-cutaneous malignancy (other than non-melanoma skin cancer) in the previous 5 years
