Evaluation of delivery room outcomes after newborn video telemedicine consultation

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess if the quality of delivery room resuscitation may be improved for outborn infants admitted to the NICU who receive a teleneonatology consult during resuscitation compared to those who did not receive a telemedicine consult.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Newly born infant,
  • Born at an outside hospital
  • Required resuscitation after delivery
  • Transferred to the NICU at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Neonatal transport team present at time of delivery.
