A Study Providing the Use of Under Desk Elliptical Devices for Promoting Physical Activity Among Employees

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if employees will use under desk foot pedal elliptical devices at their workstation to increase their level of physical activity.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • ≥ 18 years and ≤ 65 years of age
  • Understood and signed the study informed consent

 

Exclusion Criteria

  • Use of weight-loss medications within the past 30 days or current participation in a program specifically designed to help with weight loss
  • Weight fluctuations of 20 pounds or more in the past 6 months (self-report)
  • Use of any treatments for tobacco dependence within the past 30 days
  • Enrolled in a current clinical trial involving weight reduction
  • Will be absent from work for 5 (or more) consecutive work days throughout the duration of the study
