About this study
The purpose of this study is to collect lung tissue and blood samples from participants who undergo medically-indicated lung surgery and maintain a bank of specimens from a wide range of participants with varying types of lung disease and progressions.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Adults ages 21 or older who are undergoing lung surgery for suspected malignancy or metastases.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Diagnosis of cystic fibrosis or pulmonary hypertension.
- Any other condition that, in the judgment of the investigator, precludes participation.
- Failure to obtain written consent.
