About this study
The purpose of this study is to determine if microbiome DNA can be detected in the juice from the upper GI tract and that of the clinical residual specimens from patients who have or will experience an endoscopic ultrasound with sampling as part of their clinical care.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- 18 years of age or older
- Endoscopic ultrasound performed to evaluate standard clinical indications that are independent of this study
Exclusion Criteria:
- History of chemotherapy or radiation therapy
- Use of antibiotics up to 2 weeks preceding endoscopic procedure
