Quality Of Life after Simultaneous Sleeve Gastrectomy and Liver Transplantation

About this study

The aim of this study is to assess the quality of life among a sample of obese liver transplant recipients and compare it between those who underwent sleeve gastrectomy and those who did not.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Liver transplant recipients with pretransplant medically complicated obesity who underwent LT or LT+SG within the study period.
  • All patients included in our Pretransplant Medically Complicated Obesity Protocol from January 1, 2006 through January 1, 2014

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Refusal to participate
