Therapy Toolkits to Decrease Preoperative Anxiety in Gynecological Surgical Patients

About this study

The study’s primary aim is to assess if utilizing a complementary therapy toolkit consisting of aromatherapy, music, and acupressure bands can decrease a patient’s anxiety level prior to gynecological surgery.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult women undergoing outpatient gynecologic surgery
  • 18 years of age or older
  • English-speaking

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Non-English speaking patients
