Overview
Tab Title Description
Study type
InterventionalDescribes the nature of a clinical study. Types include:
- Observational study — observes people and measures outcomes without affecting results.
- Interventional study (clinical trial) — studies new tests, treatments, drugs, surgical procedures or devices.

About this study
There are many consumer mobile applications that measure heart rate variability (HRV) through peripheral devices such as cameras, wrist pulse monitors and heart rate straps. However, the HRV accuracy of these applications is generally unknown. In this study, we investigate the reliability and validity of an Elite HRV application paired with a Polar H7 heart rate strap.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Age18 to 30
- Active Healthy Individuals
- Able to perform a standard YMCA submaximal exercise test on a cycle ergometer
Exclusion Criteria:
- Subjects with any suspected pathology – orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, respiratory or otherwise – that would compromise their safety performing the YMCA test will be excluded from participating
