About this study
The Latino population has a sedentary lifestyle with associated common health problems such as diabetes, obesity, cardiometabolic disorders and hypertension which may increase the risk for cognitive decline and dementia. One of the challenges of cognitive research among minority populations is identifying a culturally neutral neurocognitive test battery that is less dependent on language and education. Therefore, we want to investigate cognitive function by utilizing a simple, user-friendly, culture and language neutral computerized test known as CogState and by administering the Mini-Mental State Examination.
