Feasibility and Safety of Adnexal Surgery at the time of Vaginal Hysterectomy

About this study

The goal of this project is to show that removal of the fallopian tubes at the time of vaginal hysterectomy is not only possible, but does not significantly increase the morbidity of the procedure.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Women scheduled for vaginal hysterectomy with or without BS or BSO for benign indication
  • Age greater than or equal to 18 years
  • English speaking

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Malignancy
  • Intent to perform additional procedures at the same time as hysterectomy.
