About this study
The purpose of this study is to establish an aggregate database of information on the diagnosis, management (acute and definitive), surveillance and outcomes following blunt thoracic aortic injury.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Patients with CT/CTA, duplex, angiographic or clinical/ operative diagnosis of injury to the aorta following blunt trauma, the initial management of which is at the enrolling center (i.e. must arrive from point of injury and not prior medical center or facility)
Exclusion Criteria:
- Patients age <2 years old
- Prisoners
