About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the microbial composition present on neckties from physicians with clinical contact, research scientists, and administrators working in a health care setting.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:  

  • 1.  Male with regular use of necktie attire in work setting
  • 2.  Age >18 years
  • 3.  Clinician with patient contact
  • 4.  Research scientist with no patient contact

Exclusion Criteria:

  • 1.   Employee with rare use of neckties in work setting
  • 2.  Age < 18 years
