About this study

This study is designed to investigate both the quality of life of facial deformity patients, their attitudes towards facial transplantation, as well as the barriers that prevent such patients from seeking face transplants.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Over the age of 18
  • Patient at Mayo Clinic diagnosed with a facial deformity secondary to trauma, congenital abnormality, or tumor resection
  • Patient seen by an anaplastologist for a facial prosthesis

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Refusal to participate in the survey
