About this study
The purpose of the study is to determine the efficacy of the Lonestar FAIMS platform in distinguishing adequately versus inadequately prepped patients by fecal headspace analysis of volatile organic compounds.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- English-speaking subjects, including minorities
- Greater than 18 years of age
- Undergoing a colonoscopy
- Medically stable
- Able to provide informed consent
- Able to provide a bowel movement for fecal collection
- Are scored by BBPS and categorical ratings
Exclusion Criteria:
- Non-English speaking subjects
- Less than 18 years of age
- Patients without decision making capacity
- Medically unstable
- Refuse or are unable to provide informed consent
- Cannot provide a bowel movement prior to their colonoscopy procedure
