Salivary Gland Tumor Banking and Clinical Review

About this study

The purpose of establishing the salivary gland tissue biobank is to learn how to improve our ability to diagnose and treat salivary gland tumors.  Specifically, we will be evaluating DNA, RNA, and protein in tumors and normal tissue/blood. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:    

  • Adult male and female patients, over 18 years
  • Children male and female patients, over 14 years
  • Adult pregnant woman over 18 years that are undergoing surgical treatment for salivary gland diseases.
    • Only patients with tumors involving the major or minor salivary glands that require surgical removal before normal delivery would be eligble for enrollement. 

Exclusion Criteria:   

  • Patients under the age of 14 
  • Unable to give informed consent
