Overview
Tab Title Description
Study type
ObservationalDescribes the nature of a clinical study. Types include:
- Observational study — observes people and measures outcomes without affecting results.
- Interventional study (clinical trial) — studies new tests, treatments, drugs, surgical procedures or devices.

About this study
The purpose of this study is to see how the contrast affects your kidney function. Your kidney function will be measured by testing several blood and urine samples that you provide before and after the CT scan or arterial interventional procedure. A CT scan of your kidneys will also be performed after the CT scan or arterial interventional procedure.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Patients will be included if they have
- Ordered contrast-enhanced CT or contrast-enhanced arterial interventional procedure, to be obtained for usual clinical care.
Exclusion Criteria
- Pre-existing renal dialysis requirements or
- Receiving iodinated contrast from a separate imaging procedure within 7 days before the CT scan, as this exposure may independently affect biomarker results.
