About this study

The purpose fo this study is to study changes in the fecal microbiome in patients with non-infectious diarrhea.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients undergoing stool testing for diarrhea and test negative for Clostridium difficile
  • Age 18 and older

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Individuals who do not comprehend or speak English (i.e., participants must be able to understand and  give consent without the assistance of an interpreter)
  • Age 17 and younger
  • Individuals regarded as belonging to a vulnerable population (prisoners, children, etc)
