About this study
This research study is being done to validate new technologies measuring Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Healthy subjects aged 18-55 years of varying height and weight
Exclusion Criteria:
- Any mental condition which prevents a person from giving informed consent
- Pregnant or nursing women cannot particpate due to variability in their regular metabolics
- Subjects must be able to walk continuously for 1 hour and walk at 3 MPH for 15 minutes
- Subjects will not have metabolic or mechanical complications and no joint complaints that would prohibit them from walking the amount of time specified in the signed consent form
- Documented coronoary artery disease or active joint disease (eg rheumatoid arthritis)
