Tab Title Description
Study type

About this study
The purpose of this study is to
-
Establish the long term functional capacity of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction
-
Establish patients who do not improve symptomatically on long term follow up
- In patients, who do not have long term symptomatic improvement, ascertain predictors of poor outcomes.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Male and Female
- Adults (18 years and older)
- All consecutive patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy who underwent myectomy and have worsening functional status at long term follow up, as ascertained by IRB 12-001804
Exclusion Criteria:
- Children (Less than 18 years old)
- Patients whose functional status improved or stayed the same on long term follow up, as described by IRB 12-001804
