A Study of Iron Deficiency and Sleep Disruption in Children with Atopic Dermatitis

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if there is an association between atopic dermatitis and iron deficiency (low iron in the blood).  We are also looking at the relationship between atopic dermatitis, low iron, and sleep difficulty.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Patients with diagnosis of atopic dermatitis.
  2. Patients from 4 to 12 years of age.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  1. Patients with known history of iron deficiency.
  2. Patients receiving iron supplementation
