About this study
The purpose of this study is to:

Prospectively characterize the dynamic systemic hemodynamic changes that occur during dynamic CT myelography.
-
Prospectively characterize the changes in regional cerebral oxygen saturation during dynamic CT myelography and how this technology can be used to guide systemic blood pressure management to enhance cerebral oxygen delivery in the setting of iatrogenically increased ICP.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Patients scheduled for dynamic CT myelography in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN
- Of note, the study investigators will not dictate any aspect of periprocedural care as their only role will be observing and recording data. Following acquisition of written informed consent by the patient, we will prospectively record the following intraprocedural data:
- Time and volume of each contrast injection
- Systemic hemodynamic data (ie, heart rate, systemic blood pressure, peripheral hemoglobin oxygen saturation)
- Cerebral oximetric data recorded at 2 minute intervals
- Dose and timing of any intravenously administered vasoconstrictor or inotropic medication
