A Study to Better Understand and Improve the Conversations that Patients and Clinicians Have about Particular Types of Testing

About this study

The purpose of this study is to seek to understand the conversations that occur between clinicians and patients in clinical encounters when particular testing is ordered.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients will be eligible if they are ≥18 years and paneled to ECH or MCHS provider as of August 1, 2017.
  • Clinicians will be eligible if they see this patient population.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients that are < 18 years old and/or major cognitive or sensorial disability that does not allow for informed consent.
