About this study
The purpose of this study is formative, qualitative investigation to direct the adaptation of a tool for use in patients with multiple chronic conditions (MCCs) and will be based on the Patient Experience with Treatment and Self-management (PETS) questionnaire.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
Patient eligibility:
- 21 years of age or older
- English-speaking
- Diagnosed with 2 or more conditions from a pre-specified list of 20 chronic conditions (e.g., selected cancer types, arthritis, COPD, hypertension).
- Able to travel to Mayo Clinic Rochester for an in-person discussion group, as determined by a zip code of residence in Olmsted County.
- Had at least 2 appointments at Mayo Clinic Rochester in the past 12 months.
