About this study
The aim of this multicenter study is to prospectively collect anonymous data at international cancer centers from eye exams after development of dry eye symptoms and ocular GVHD in patients status post stem cell transplant for hematological disorders.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria
- Patient visiting Mayo Clinic in Arizona from November 2017 to March 31, 2020 Ophthalmology Department after HSCT at any participating investigators’ centers.
- New onset of dry eye after HSCT
- Completion of donor engraftment
- 21 years or older
- First HSCT only
Exclusion Criteria:
- Preexisting dry eye, prior to HSCT
- Other ocular surface disease including infection, allergic conjunctivitis, contact lens wearer, glaucoma, prior ophthalmic surgery
- 20 years or younger
