A Study for Collecting Data on Subjects Undergoing Lower Body Negative Pressure (LBNP) to Simulate Progressive Blood Loss

About this study

The purpose of this study is for collecting data on subjects undergoing lower body negative pressure (LBNP) to simulate progressive blood loss to look at different variables associated with blood loss.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy subjects between 18-55 years of age
  • Non-obese (BMI < 30)
  • Non-smokers 
  • Free of any systemic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, neurologic disease, or any other major medical co-morbidity

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Children less than 18 years of age
