About this study
The purpose of this study is for The Center for Individualized Medicine (CIM) at Mayo Clinic to discover and translate genomic and molecular science into personalized medical applications
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Age 18 years or older.
- Competent in English language.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Under 18 years old.
- Not competent in English.
- Lives in New York, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island or Florida.
- Has received a bone marrow transplant or organ transplant.
- Has been diagnosed, or has a close relative who has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MCAD deficiency deficency, sickle cell disease, or GJB2-related hearing loss.
- Has been diagnosed, or has a close relative who has been diagnosed with heart disease, age related macular degeneration, or prolonged paralysis when under anesthesia.
- Is currently taking a blood thinner.
Has used a direct-to-consumer genetic testing product in the past.
