A Study to Determine the Feasibility of Renal Ultrasound Microvessel Imaging in Patients Undergoing Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of ultrasound microvessel imaging to image patient kidneys in vivo.
 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Outpatients undergoing a contrast-enhanced echocardiogram.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patients will be excluded if they do not receive contrast during their echocardiogram.
  • Patients will be excluded if they have certain kidney conditions including polycystic kidney disease, kidney transplant, renal cancer, and nephrectomy.
