About this study
The purpose of this study is to measure the part-worth utilities breast MRI screening patients place on different MRI gadolinium contrast parameters, and to use those data to better understand and deliver patient-centered contrast agents for MRI screening exams.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Adult women scheduled to undergo a clinically-indicated breast MRI exam.
- Women with a personal history of breast cancer or high or immediate risk factors for breast cancer, including:
- BRCA1 mutations, BRCA2 mutations, and other mutations that confer high risk;
- Untested first degree relatives of patients with mutations conferring high risk;
- History of chest radiation between ages 10 and 30;
- History of atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH), atypical lobular neoplasia (ALH), or lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS)”.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Inpatients.
- Pediatric patients.
- Patients who are unable to provide consent.
- Patients who cannot compete the survey.
