About this study
The purpose of this study is to develop a program for individuals living alone with mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
Eligible individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) must:
- be at least 40 years of age;
- have been told they have MCI (mild cognitive impairment) by a healthcare professional or score between 2 and 5 on the AD8 questions;
- be living alone.
Eligible professionals/staff/providers must:
- be at least 18 years of age;
- currently work with people diagnosed with MCI and/or early-stage dementia; or
- have worked with this population for at least one year in the last 5 years.
Exclusion Criteria:
- These participants will be excluded if they have been diagnosed by a health care provider with a dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease and/or report they have had a severe mental illness before age 45 and have been told their memory problems were due to a past head injury.
