A Study to Evaluate The Negative Predictive Value and Non-irritant Skin Testing Concentrations of Antibiotics

About this study

The purpose of this study is to accurately determine the negative predictive value of skin testing with antibiotics.

 

 

 

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • All adults age ≥ 18 years old.
  • Exposure or non exposure to an antibiotic. 
  • Hypersensitivity reaction to vancomycin.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Minors under the age of 18 years old.
  • Individuals unable to consent.
  • Individuals with a previous allergic reaction to an antibiotic with exception or vancomycin.
  • Vulnerable populations will not be eligible.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women will be excluded from this research study.
