Evaluation of Workplace Violent Events in the Inpatient Medical Setting

About this study

The purpose of this study is to contribute to our understanding of variables related to a Workplace Violent Event (WVE) in the inpatient medical health care setting. This current research will help us understand the relationship of the patient, healthcare worker, environment and culture in the pre-assault phase of workplace violence.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Registered nurses, patient care assistants, medical doctors, social workers, and security personnel who work in the inpatient medical setting.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • None.
