The Collection of Blood Samples from Patients With NF1 for Research Purposes

About this study

The objective of this study is to collect blood samples from living patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) for future genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and other research studies.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Males and females ages 0 to 17.
  • Meet NIH criteria for NF1 (see Section 5.1).  
  • Agree to donate blood to the CTF biorepository.
  • Have provided written informed consent/assent for this study.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • There are no exclusion criteria for subjects who meet the above entry criteria.
