About this study

 

This study aims to determine the potential barriers that contribute to fewer patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) being placed on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and that accomplished through evaluating:

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • All patients over age 18.
  • chronic kidney disease with eGFR < 20.
  • Whether currently on dialysis or not.

Excusion Criteria:

 

  • Patients who had a previous kidney transplant.
  • Patients who are currently on the waiting list for a kidney transplant.
  • Patients who had evaluated for a kidney transplant and NOT QUALIFIED due to any contraindication for a kidney transplant (e.g., advanced age, active infection, anatomic barriers or malignancy).
