About this study
The purposes of this study are to compare the effects of Arts versus Meditation / guided visual imagery on self-reported fatigue and motivation levels of internal medicine residents, to explore themes of stress, fatigue and burnout through focus group discussions among internal medicine residents, and to assess their opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of various Art and Humanities Interventions to combat stress and fatigue.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Internal Medicine Categorical and Prelim Residents on the Jacksonville, FL campus.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Chief residents.
- Non-internal Medicine Categorical and Prelim Residents on the Jacksonville, FL campus.
- Internal Medicine Categorical and Prelim Residents on other Mayo campuses.
