About this study
The purpose of this study is to evaluate sexual well-being in minority women who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their partners.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria - Survivors:
- Female (self-identifying).
- Diagnosed with a cancer.
- Not receiving chemotherapy, radiation, or a surgical intervention currently. May be taking hormone/endocrine therapy.
- Up to 10 years post-treatment (i.e., chemo, radiation, surgery).
- If metastatic disease, not receiving chemotherapy or radiation at the time of the interview
- Has a partner (opposite or same sex).
- Co-habitating with partner/significant other ≥ 6 months.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Any sexual minority (Lesbian, bisexual, queer) and/or racial/ethnic minority (Latinos, African Americans, and Asians).
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
Inclusion Criteria - Partners:
- 21 years of age.
- Partner of participant in the study or partner of a female cancer survivor meeting study criteria but whose partner may not be in our study.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Any exception to the above Inclusion Criteria.
