Overview

About this study

The purpose of this research study is to determine how useful a questionnaire, the Glaucoma Outcomes Survey (GOS), is as a tool for measuring patient quality of life after undergoing minimally invasive glaucoma surgery combined with cataract surgery.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patient 22 years or older at screening.
  • Patient signed informed consent.
  • Able to understand English (to complete survey without translation assistance).
  • Determined to be a candidate for a planned MIGS device implantation procedure performed adjunctively with cataract surgery, as determined by the treating physician.
  • Diagnosis of Mild to Moderate Glaucoma defined (Humphrey Visual Field - HVF at baseline) as:

Visual Field Mean Deviation (dB)                                 Impairment Group

*Deviation more than - 2 through -6 (inclusive) |             Mild
*Deviation more than - 6 through -12 (inclusive) | Moderate

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Prior surgery for glaucoma, including MIGS, stent placement, or filtration surgery on study eye, the exception to this is that prior performance of laser trabeculoplasty is not an exclusion criterion.
