A Study to Compare Perceived Diabetes Knowledge to Objective Diabetic Control Based on Hemoglobin A1c

About this study

Questionnaire administered to diabetic patients in primary care practice (La Crosse Mayo Family Medicine Residency /Family Health Clinic) to assess patient’s diabetic knowledge. Retrospective chart review will also be done to assess objective diabetic control based on most recent hemoglobin A1c.    

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult diabetic patients, ≥ 18 years of age.
  • Seen in the La Crosse Mayo Family Medicine Residency /Family Health Clinic.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals < 18 years of age.
