Colonic Transit Time of Pediatric Patients with Challenging Constipation

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to correlate the simplified Sitz marker test with outcomes of constipation in pediatric patients, and determine predictive response to medical and surgical therapy by comparing the patients with good and poor response to treatment with the sitz marker result. Also, to correlate sitz marker results with other tests used in challenging constipation (colonic and anorectal manometry, contrast enema), and determine clinical variables that modify the outcome related to the sitz marker test
