About this study

The purpose of this study is to explore patients’ knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes, among other factors, towards taking platelet-rich plasma (PRP) (cohort 1) or socioeconomic status SoC (cohort 2) to identify facilitators and barriers toward regenerative care using qualitative interviews.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients received platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for knee osteoarthritis (OA) vs patients who received standard care including total knee replacement that are found in Mayo-Epic database.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • < 18 years of age.
