A Mayo Clinic Enteroid Biorepository

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to enroll individuals with gastrointestinal disease undergoing routine endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy procedures, or gastrointestinal surgical procedures to build a biorepository of samples and data for future use. 

All studies utilizing samples from this repository will address some aspect of the etiopathogenesis or treatment of gastrointestinal disease.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria: 

  • Male or female.
  • ≥ 18 years of age at the time of signing the informed consent.
  • Scheduled for routine  esophagogastroduodenoscopy, extended esophagogastroduodenoscopy, deep enteroscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy procedures.
  • Scheduled for a surgical procedure that involves resection of gastrointestinal tissue.

Exclusion Critieria:

  • < 18 years of age.
