Survey on Diet, Physical Activity, and Sleep Quality in Sleep Clinic Patients

About this study

The purpose of this study is to survey the dietary habits (using mini-EAT questionnaire) and exercise patterns (using IPAQ questionnaire) in sleep clinic patients. In addition, we will also survey their sleep quality utilizing the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire. We will correlate results to explore the relationship between dietary factors and exercise level along with sleep quality measures and outcome of their sleep disorders.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (newly diagnosed or already diagnosed).
  • On treatment for OSA.
  • 18-75 years of age.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Recently (< 4 weeks) changed or started new dietary, and exercise habits, and sleep medications.
  • Pregnant or lactating woman.
