About this study

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the 3D Microscope can allow visualization of cutaneous tissue (and to what depth and what level of histologic detail) for determination of non-melanoma tumor presence in a sample of 100 residual discarded skin specimens.  

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patient undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers (i.e. squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma) where a biopsy has already been completed, and both diagnosis and staging already rendered.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • < 18 years of age.
