Targeted Muscle Reinnervation in the Pediatric Population

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess postoperative pain in pediatric patients who underwent amputation, comparing those who also received targeted muscle reinnervation versus those who did not. A retrospective chart review will identify patients who underwent amputation at or below 18 years of age. Surgical intervention such as targeted muscle reinnervation, postoperative pain scores, medication use, patient reports of nerve pain and phantom pain will be obtained. A questionairre will also be provided to patients to assess their long term pain scores.
