Ulnar Styloidectomy in Patients With Ulnar Stylocarpal Impingement Syndrome

About this study

The purpose of this retrospective case series is to evaluate the efficacy of ulnar styloidectomy in patients with ulnar stylocarpal impingement, with regards to pain, function, and patient satisfaction, in order to better understand the value of surgical management of this uncommon cause of ulnar-sided wrist pain.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 18 or older who underwent ulnar styloidectomy

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with concurrent diagnosis of ulnar impaction syndrome, patients with ulnar stylocarpal impingement syndrome whose symptoms were relieved without surgical intervention, patients who can‘t be reached or do not return questionnaires, return incomplete questionnaires, or who are incarcerated, deceased, or under age 18.
