A Study of the Possible Use of a New Imaging Method with Glioma Tumors

About this study

The purpose of this study is to see if Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) a recently developed imaging technique can be used to characterize and help stage glioma tumors and evaluate response to therapy.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients will be recruited from those being evaluated and treated for gliomas
  • MRE exams will be coordinated with and performed during scheduled standard of care imaging
  • Patient ages of 18 to 99 years

 

Exclusion Criteria

  •  Contraindications to MRI scanning are present such as
    • a cardiac pacemaker
    • intraocular or intracranial metallic object
    • other MRI incompatible devices
    • claustrophobia.
