A Study of the Effectiveness of Stress Management Therapy for Patients with Melanoma

About this study

The purpose of this study is to test a particular stress management therapy program for effectiveness in decreasing stress, increasing quality of life, and improving the immune system in patients with melanoma.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Current or new diagnosis of melanoma (stage 0-IV)
  • Adult over the age of 18
  • Able and willing to participate in all aspects of the study
  • Provided with, understood, and signed the appropriate informed consent form

 

Exclusion Criteria 

  • Recent (within the past 6 months) psychotic episode
  • Clinically significant acute unstable neurologic, psychiatric, hepatic, renal, cardiovascular, or respiratory disease that prevents participation in the study
