DNA Methylation in Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate: Tissue Validation of Biomarkers and Pilot Testing in Blood

About this study

The study will be performed in two phases:  Phase I will be performed for biologic validation of marker candidates from a discovery cohort and phase II will be performed to evaluate the discrimination (sensitivity/specificity) of best candidate markers when assayed from blood of cases with CAP and controls without history of cancer. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Tissue samples will be obtained from Tissue Archive or existing prostatectomy biobanks that were reviewed by an expert genitourinary pathologist to confirm correct classification.
